Missouri Jazz Orchestra presents its annual Christmas Extravaganza.  For the 2024 Holiday Season, it's  “A Stan Kenton Christmas”

On December 14th, 7:30pm at the Gillioz Theatre, MOJO will present “A Kenton Christmas”, recreating this landmark recording performing your favorite secular and sacred songs arranged for Big Band by Stan Kenton and Ralph Carmichael.

The Stan Kenton Orchestra has an historic connection to Springfield, Missouri. In the 1970’s the Kenton Orchestra came to Drury University for their annual Summer Jazz Clinic.

The mission of the Missouri Jazz Orchestra, MOJO, is to enrich, educate, and grow the Ozarks community for jazz through performance, education, and advocacy. MOJO fosters creativity, cultural awareness, and community engagement uniting people of differing life experiences and promoting understanding across cultures.
